Traffic Generation With Article Submissions

January 15th, 2009

Earlier today I at last made some article submissions to some sites for testing how it works.

I know I should do video marketing now if I followed Alex Jeffreys coaching plan. I will hopefully do this in the weekend instead.

Here are the sites where I made the article submission:
• ezinearticles.com (+++++) (my own ranking)
• hubpages.com (++)
• squidoo.com (+++)
• wetpaint.com (++++)

EzineArticles
Adding your article is easy. Then it seems that they have very careful control of the articles before they are published. There are 4 steps before the article can be published (or not). >>>

First there is made an initial editorial review. 2nd is a editorial queue. 3rd step is a Quality control review. 4th step is a quality control queue. And after this step your article hopefully will be published.

Negative is the time it takes for an article to be published. Positive is that EzineArticles may have good quality articles in their archive.

HubPages
Very easy and fast to publish. But articles can be stopped even if the article were published. I got a problem with an article and then it was problem to change it. Even if I changed the article it were stopped. I had to create a new hubpage and I used the same information. Then it was ok. Strange. Instable and uncertain control of the articles.

Squidoo
I have used Squidoo earlier and now I found more settingss that I have not seen before. It is too many details in the user interface and therfore you may not see all settings that are possible to use. It always takes little time before you see all details on a site you haven’t visited before. You learn the system when you use it.

WetPaint
On WetPaint you make small mini sites about your article or topic. They call it a wiki site. WetPaint is like a mix with WikiPedia and Squidoo. It was easy to use. Not soo many banners like Squidoo.

The search engine result
I have used the same article for all submissions. Only very small changes are made. I don’t know if this is a problem for the search engines. I don’t think so because it is only a few of same version.

I will come back after a few days with a report from the search engine results for the different sites.
