Fresh Search Engine Results With Google

January 7th, 2009

The worst thing with the winter time is getting dressed. Especially when taking the children to kindergarten. This is a struggle every morning and this is a fresh struggle.

But online we often have to deal with struggling through ancient monuments for finding what we are looking for. It is a heavy duty sometimes.

Search engines are like rune stones

On an earlier blog post I wrote about that the search engines are rune stones. Because you often find old outdated sites high ranked in the search results. If an outdated site is high ranked it take place from more current sites. This is like a rune stone. If we find a rune stone offline that area is protected by the law and you’re not allowed to build new houses. But this is only for the standard search option. >>>

Fresh search engine results with advanced search

When choosing “advanced search” with Google you have the possiblity to choose a time frame from when the web pages are updated. I think this option should be more highlighted and also possible to make as a setting for your standard search. Then you don’t need to go to advanced search, only search and find everything new that is indexed.

News and blog search
At the top on Google.com you will find “News”. There you can search for news about your topic. And you can choose posts made the last hour, last day and past month. This is also possible for blog search. You find the blog search at the top under “more”.

    Hello Ali,

I’m a fellow student of Alex Jeffreys and I’m tryin to visit other students blogs. There are so many and very interesting too.

I particularly enjoy your philosophical approach and gentle metaphors.

Yes, Alex is indeed like that little sparrow & the bird-watchers.

I’ll put you on my blogroll and would be happy for you to visit my blog and leave any comment. I am slowly catching up after a problem with getting module 4 to play. I still haven’t seen it. Looks like I missed the most important episode so far. I am still investigating how to get a flow of traffic.

Not many students have visited my blog yet.

Please add me to your blogroll and all the best for the year ahead.

    Cheers,
    Gaielle

    Hi Gaielle

thanks for your kind words. You have good clear blog I think. Good content.

Most important is to keep on and write content for your blog. There is a lot of internet marketing info to write about. Myself have still only started. Writing these internet marketing tips are still on my to do list..

Make also content for sites as squidoo.com and ezinearticles.com. It is ok rewrite your existing content for these sites. I’m not sure if it is good to have the exact same content published again. Ezine marketing is also very good if finding a list and possible to make ad/article that works good.

I could have made a short resume of the module 4 webinar for you but my memory is short. I have to update my brain or something similar.

See you tonight CET time on the webinar with Alex.

    Warm regards, Ali

(My thoughts are again with the little sparrow. How can that little sparrow drive more traffic than my internet marketing. Hmmm, I will make a small blog post about this later. Now office work..)
