Alex Jeffreys Recommends Using A Blog

January 11th, 2009

In Alex Jeffreys coaching he recommends all students to use a blog. In fact this is most important for internet marketing. You need to have an own blog for your business online.

The blog will attract visitors and is a good tool for getting high ranked in the search engines.

I will later today publish a Quick Guide how to setup your own blog. My aim is to have it as short and simple as possible. I will not get into details.

I will personally help my readers setting up their own blog. Setting up the blog is not difficult. Problem is that there are many small settings and plugins that are needed for a professional blog. Read more…

New opportunity to get included in the Profit Pulling Project eBook

December 30th, 2008

Garry Parkes is making the second version of the Profit Pulling Project. If you want to get included in the eBook you will have to do the 4 steps below and visit his blog for more info. There is a lot of activity just right now.

The second edition of the Profit Pulling Project newsletter will be released the first week in January 2009. It will have a great impact on the web.

The 4 steps needed for you to do to get added in the eBook:

  1. Add a comment to the blog post about the Profit Pulling Project. Can be anything, a question, a story, general update, anything
  2. Be on his Blogroll (don’t worry if you have sent your link and are not shown yet. He will add them later). If you haven’t sent your name add it as a comment on the complete student list.
  3. Get a blogroll set up on your blog and a link to his site included.
  4. Add a post on your own blog linking to this post at Garry Parkes basically informing all other students how to get included in the eBook and/or generally advertising the Profit Pulling Project newsletter.

Best Of The F500 Alex Jeffreys contest

December 21st, 2008

Joe Trueman is having a contest on his blog for Alex Jeffreys students. The challenge is: “To create the best, the funniest, the most useful… the most STICKY content in your posts that you can”. Visit Joes Blog for more info.

It will be interesting to see the blog posts and hopefully it will add new ideas for building more traffic. I am sure we all will get more ideas. I am still unfocused. But today I have anyway checked Squidoo.com/ internet marketing and created two “lenses”. It is totally new for me and thanks for your comments about using Squidoo. It’s new strategy for me. Still I have not visit my fellow Alex Jeffreys students blogs. But I will soon drop by.

Update: check www.wetpaint.com -it is like a cross between Squidoo and Wikipedia. It seems that Wetpaint generate more traffic than Squidoo. I will come back with more information regarding this.

Your own domain for your WordPress blog..

December 15th, 2008

..or maybe not.

There are many alternatives for hosting web sites. For hosting your WordPress blog on your own domain you must check that the hosting company got a C-panel with Fantastico that will automaticallly install the WordPress blog on your domain. This is “easy” to do, but it is easy to get lost and forget steps needed to take. I will do a little QuickGuide for this.

Having your blog at WordPress without your own domain is possible. Good thing is you will get WordPress versions automatically updated and being searchable in their database (very good).

One both negative and positive feature is that your blog at WordPress.com is stable but the response time can be little slow. And you may have to buy upgrades for making design changes on your theme and more.

At last, if you have your own domain for your blog it will be more brandable. You should choose your own domain name if you are planning to build a business connected with your blog.
