Alex Jeffreys Search Engine Competition

January 20th, 2009

Testing another theme temporary. New theme will be orderly installed when I have found one that works fine.

This is only a short blog post due to the search engine competition that we have in Alex Jeffreys coaching program.

The student that first reach the No.1 position in Google with Alex name as keyword will win the contest and the prize of $1.000. >>>

My goal is today to choose a new theme for my blog and implement it for higher position in Google. Not only for the look and feel for it. But I maybe make my video first. I have not decided. Will see what happens tonight. It is delayed.

Alex Jeffreys competition is very good training for learing how the search engines work or not work. But what we learn today may be history tomorrow.

It’s more value creating content for higher search engine results than trying to squeeze the blog site. In the long run a content filled site will win against a squeezed. The site with content will make visitors come back and also make them active on the blog.

There are many things to do on your site for optimizing for higher search engine ranking. But most important search engine optimization is from outside your blog. Such as links from other high ranked site and your visitors activity.

Alex himself may not do much search engine optimization inside his sites. He has done valuable eBooks that attracts visitors and then he get higher ranked. Alex Jeffreys have chosen another path attracting more visitors. There are many ways.

Fantastic post! Really. One of the things that I want to do is get better at SEO - but as you say what was in today is out tomorrow - but it seems there are definite ‘portals’ through which to funnel our traffic…Squidoo, Hubpages, and of course Video..should we be exploring the path less taken.

Again well done and thanks for yor post.

    Hi Harry

What I have seen so far links from other sites seems to have more value than own content. But when having valuable content more will link to your web pages and blog..

As you say writing articles for Squidoo, Hubpages, Ezinearticles and more will get you links from high traffic sites. This is good for your ranking. And videos are coming more and more.

    Best wishes
